Steve Edwards
Steve Edwards earned his Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services from Buena Vista University and an Associate of Science degree in Substance Abuse Counseling from Iowa Lakes Community College.
With over 13 years of experience, Steve has worked extensively with adolescents and adults navigating substance use disorders. He now works with children, adolescents, and adults across a broad range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, conduct disorders, and post-traumatic stress.
Steve is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporates this approach into his work with clients when appropriate. His clinical background also includes supporting individuals with mood disorders, behavioral challenges, and experiences related to foster care and adoption.
Steve is committed to providing a supportive and practical therapeutic environment where clients feel understood and equipped to navigate life’s challenges. He works collaboratively with clients to build insight, strengthen coping skills, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
